Mr. Peabody is a 2 year old chi mix. He is neutered, current on vaccines, wormed, heartworm neg/on prevention, on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175. He lived a horrible life before being rescued by SIAR. He was caged in a filthy barn with lots of other dogs and animals. He had never been to a vet, was covered in fleas, and malnourished. He was deprived of the affection and attention he deserves. Those days are behind him and he is now being showered with love in foster care. He trusts his people a little more each day. He likes to size himself up to other small dogs and growl but that's as far as it goes. He socializes with up to 8 other dogs at a time. Mr. Peabody likes to be held and loved on and would be ok with mature, gentle kids. And yes, one ear is always up! He would do best in a home with a fenced yard. He is not quite potty trained but is getting better each day. If you would like to adopt Mr. Peabody send an application to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Franklin was born on February 7th, 2013. He was pulled from a shelter because he was battling mange, but he is now all clear from mange!! But while we were clearing that up we found out that he has Addison's disease. It is a disease that requires him to have a bland diet. So he is currently on special food and a medicine a day. It is very manageable and you would never know anything is wrong. He is very happy, loves to play, go for walks and could ride in the car for days. If you would like to meet Franklin please email his foster mom at email@example.com
Meet Boomer! Boomer is a 1.5 year old retriever mix. He's neutered, current on vaccines, wormed, heartworm negative/on prevention, on flea/tick prevention and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $175. Rescued from a Southern IN shelter, Boomer is a beautiful, happy boy that deserves to be treated like a prince the rest of his life. After a trip to the vet we learned his left elbow and right leg have been broken and never fixed so they have healed wrong. The muscles and tendons have drawn up and removing one leg would put too much pressure on the other weakened leg so he is not a good candidate for surgery. He also has buckshot in his right hip. Helping him maintain a healthy weight and keeping him on a joint health supplement like Cosequin will be very beneficial to him. You would think such a rough start would leave him fearful or untrusting but Boomer is happy and loves everyone he meets. His foster mom says he's very laid back and loves to please and snuggle. He will make someone a super companion. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if interested in becoming Boomer's hero.
